I could not stop reading the book until I finished it. I love how the author put an original twist to the stories of Cinderella, Rupunzel, and Snow White. If you like fairytales this book is for you. There is action, romance, tragedy, and intrigue with characters of classic Grimm fairytales interacting with eachother in ways that one would not have thought of before. Thank you Riley for creating such a unique tale.
A really enjoyable read that have keep me where I wasn't expected to be. I have liked how the author have re-wrote classic tales like Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow Withe and I think that the most complimenting thing that I can say about it now is that I want to read the book number 2 of this trilogy. Good work indeed!
A well written, unique twist on the traditional fairy tales that most of us know so well.
I cannot express in words alone how much I loved this book, and unfortunately this is not the appropriate medium for interpretive dance. The retelling of classic fables and fairy tales is one of my very favorite things in the world and this book not only does that, it takes the theme a step further. Altogether excellent.
I would have liked a more solid setting development but all the rest in really worth the read. I like this new adaptation of the Grimm's fairytales. A really good start that have kept my attention and have been able to keep it till the end.
What a unique and wonderful story. LaShea imagines the world within our childhood stories, where She is creating havoc. Compelling plot, well developed characters, and excellent writing. I will enjoy reading this story over and over. Can't wait for her next book.
If you like fairy tales and dont like how they usually all about man, then this book is for you
I had been looking for a lesbian fantasy epic for a while now, and while not exactly what I was looking for, this was quite closer than anything else I had found, and turned out to be most enjoyable. Well worth the purchase, and it's only the first book of a trilogy, so who knows how the series will continue to evolve? I'm excited to find out, and you should be too.
This book has it all action, love, comedy, and drama. The stories blend perfectly, and every time a new character is introduce I get to really see there problems. You get into what the grim characters really had to go though. Loved it
Great book with an interesting twist of the fairy tale stories. It kept me reading late into the night until i finished it. The story is more serious than you might expect given the subject matter and tells the story of what it might be like if the characters in a story wanted to be free to live their own lives independent of a narrative defined by a storyteller. Also though it is the first book in a trilogy it works as a stand alone novel and doesn't have a cliff hanger ending.
